In the wine industry, it’s crucial to develop a brand’s character. This personality and narrative are used to sell the wine into restaurants and shops, contributing not only to customer sell through but distributor sell in. However, fine wine doesn’t have to be – pardon my French – so damn stuffy.

In order to support Château Auguste’s goal of opening new markets, securing new distributors, and making connections with new retailers, I developed a unique personality and gave it a spotlight on social media.

Château Auguste embodies rosé season as a way of life, not just a time of year. It is fun and lighthearted as a certified organic Bordeaux should be. I also coined the hashtag #SeriousFun because fine wine is something to be enjoyed, and drinkers of Château Auguste take their fun seriously.

Château Auguste’s social media was instrumental in opening markets in 4 new states and attracted the eyes of corner wine shop owners and executives of media corporations like Wine Enthusiast alike.
